Top Iranian jurisprudent elaborated on the origins of ignorance and cultural backwardness of the Islamic nations, calling Islamic awakening a blessing for the Muslim community.

Grand Ayatollah Hossein Noori Hamedani, senior Shia jurisprudent in a meeting with the academic society of Alborz Province counted the reasons for devolution of the Muslims blaming gluttony and luxury-oriented lifestyle of the previous rulers for the outcome.

He said praised the Islamic awakening in the Middle East as a blessing of God and hailed Islamic Revolution of Iran for unveiling the true identity of the west in the recent Islamic awakening.

“Islamic Revolution of Iran has unveiled the face of western countries foiling anti-Islamic plots of the enemies,” said the cleric praising the Iranian Revolution as one of the great blessings of late founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini.

He said, “Iran’s Revolution was one of the greatest blessings of Imam Khomeini which was gradually transmitted to Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Libya and Bahrain,” warning all Muslim countries to recognize western countries as an enemy of Islam.

Iranian jurisprudent also noted revival of jihad and martyrdom as another effect of the Islamic Revolution since people did not have the brevity and a true belief in jihad before the incident.

According to this religious figure regaining the self-confidence and gallantry of the Iranian nation is a third effect of the Islamic Revolution because prior to that people did not have the courage and confidence to voice their opposition against the rulers of the time.

The Iranian scholar also warned against the plots of western countries for the younger generation and said there are ongoing efforts to ruin Islam in the view of the youth.
